I’ve got spirit! Yes, I do! Mine is fabulous, how about you?
Spirit is a broad term that can be interpreted in a “religious” way, a “cheerleader” way, or just as a general sense of who you are and how you are feeling. When I talk about spirit, I am referring to your energy. Your spirit is almost intangible yet a vibrant reflection of who you are and how you are feeling about being in the universe. It’s a bit like your attitude, but you can have a bad attitude, and people can’t necessarily tell. Your spirit is observed by others. Your spirit is reflected in your energy, your walk, your interaction with others, and it’s important to make sure yours is positive, passionate, enthusiastic and optimistic.
I believe wholeheartedly in the law of attraction. Simply put, the Law of Attraction is the ability to attract into our lives whatever we are focusing on. So if you focus on having a fabulous/positive spirit, you will attract fabulous/positive people and things to your life. I know it is not always easy to be positive and optimistic, but the trick is to “fake it til you make it,” so that you can attract it. Take the upcoming holidays for example. If you dread them and have a negative, pessimistic outlook about them, then guess what? You will have a negative, pessimistic experience, but if you dig deep and go into the holidays with hope and optimism, then you very well may have the best season yet. Every day you have a choice. You can wake up and be positive, or you can wake up and be negative. My mom had a sign in her bathroom that said “Attitude is a choice. Make it a good one!” Wow! I hope you choose positive because if you do you will attract positive things and people into your universe.
Time is a precious commodity in life. You can’t get it back, so you have to make the very best of every day. That’s not to say that we don’t go through hard times, loss and disappointment. It just means that even when you are going through tough times time is still ticking away in this thing called life. It is important to be grateful and express your gratitude for your opportunities, your friends, and your surroundings. These things don’t last forever, and so many people take them for granted. When our friends get sick, or our country gets attacked you realize how lucky and positive things were and maybe that you didn’t appreciate them enough.
Make a choice. Pick the energy and spirit that you want to portray. Pick the kind of day you want to have every morning. And, when you find yourself having a negative day choose to act differently and change your spirit, even if you don’t want to. If you change, the situation will change, and your time on earth will be spent with enthusiasm, positivity, and optimism.
